Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 20, 2026
North Alpine ("North Alpine," "we," "us," or "our") runs this website and online store, along with every feature, tool, and service connected to it (together, the "Services"), to give you a smooth and curated shopping experience. Our store is built and hosted on Shopify's platform. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we gather, how we use it, and who we may share it with whenever you browse our site, place an order, or otherwise get in touch with us. Where any conflict exists between this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service regarding the handling of your personal information, this Privacy Policy takes priority.
Please take a moment to read through this notice. By browsing or using any part of the Services, you confirm that you understand how your information is collected, used, and shared as described below.
What Personal Information We Collect
"Personal information" means any data that identifies you or could reasonably be tied back to you. It does not cover information that has been anonymized or stripped of identifying details. Depending on how you use our store, where you are located, and what the law requires, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details — your name, billing and shipping addresses, phone number, and email address.
- Payment information — card numbers, payment account details, transaction records, and confirmation of payment.
- Account details — your login, password, security questions, and saved preferences.
- Shopping activity — products you browse, add to cart or wishlist, purchase, return, exchange, or cancel, along with your order history.
- Correspondence — anything you tell us directly, such as when you contact customer support.
- Device and connection data — browser type, IP address, and other technical identifiers.
- Site usage data — how and when you interact with our store.
Where This Information Comes From
- Directly from you — when you create an account, browse the store, place an order, or contact us;
- Automatically — collected by your device as you use our site, including via cookies and similar tracking tools;
- From service providers we work with to operate the store on our behalf;
- From advertising and business partners or other third parties.
How We Use Your Information
- To run and improve the store. We rely on your information to fulfill our agreement with you — processing payments, completing orders, arranging shipping, handling returns and exchanges, managing your account, sending order-related notifications, enabling product reviews, and personalizing recommendations.
- For marketing. We may send promotional emails, texts, or mail, and show you ads on our site or elsewhere, sometimes based on items you've viewed or added to your cart.
- To keep things secure. We use your data to verify your identity, protect your account, prevent fraud or illegal activity, and keep our store safe. Keep your login credentials private — we strongly advise against sharing them.
- To support you. We use your information to respond to questions and maintain our relationship with you as a customer.
- To meet legal obligations. This includes complying with applicable laws, responding to lawful requests from authorities, and enforcing our own policies.
Who We Share It With
We may disclose personal information to outside parties under these circumstances:
- With Shopify and other vendors who help us operate — for example, payment processors, IT providers, analytics tools, support platforms, warehousing, and shipping carriers.
- With marketing and advertising partners. Shopify allows us to support personalized ads based on your activity across different merchants. These partners handle your data under their own privacy terms. If you'd like to opt out of having your activity used for targeted ads, you can do so here.
- Whenever you ask us to share information with a third party — for instance, to ship your order or connect a social media login.
- With companies under our corporate umbrella.
- In connection with a merger, sale, bankruptcy, legal proceeding, or to enforce our policies and protect our rights or those of our customers.
Our Relationship With Shopify
Our store runs on Shopify's infrastructure, and Shopify processes data about how you use our Services in order to keep the platform running and improving. Anything you submit through our store may be transmitted to Shopify and to other parties, potentially located in different countries than your own. We also use certain Shopify features that draw on data from interactions across multiple merchants, including ours. For those features, Shopify acts as the party responsible for handling your data and any related rights requests. You can read more in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy, and depending on your location, you may be able to exercise certain rights through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
Links to Other Websites
Our store may link out to websites we don't own or control. If you click through to one of these sites, we encourage you to review their own privacy practices — we can't vouch for their accuracy, security, or content. Anything you share on public platforms, including third-party social networks, may be visible to others and isn't something we control. Linking to a third-party site doesn't mean we endorse it.
Information From Children
Our store isn't built for children, and we don't knowingly gather personal information from anyone under the age of legal majority where they live. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared information with us, reach out using the contact details below and we'll remove it. As of this policy's effective date, we have no actual knowledge of "selling" or "sharing" (as those terms are legally defined) the personal information of anyone under 16.
How We Protect and Retain Your Data
No system is completely secure, and we can't promise that data sent to us will be fully protected in transit — please avoid sending sensitive details through unsecured channels. We keep your information only as long as needed: to maintain your account, deliver our Services, satisfy legal requirements, or resolve disputes.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, some or all of the following rights may apply to you. These rights aren't unlimited, and we may decline certain requests where the law allows:
- Access. Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Deletion. Ask us to erase your personal information.
- Correction. Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
- Portability. Request a copy of your data, or ask that we send it to another company, where applicable.
- Opt-out of sale, sharing, or targeted ads. You may be able to stop us from selling, sharing, or using your data for targeted advertising — use the opt-out link here. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we'll treat that as an opt-out request for that device, and apply it to your account where we're able to match the two. We don't currently act on other "Do Not Track" browser signals.
- Marketing preferences. Unsubscribe from promotional emails anytime using the link in those emails. You'll still receive essential, non-promotional messages, like order updates.
If you're located in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to:
- Object to or restrict processing of your data for certain purposes.
- Withdraw consent at any time, where we relied on your consent to process your data — this won't undo any processing that already took place.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. For rights tied specifically to data Shopify processes, visit privacy.shopify.com/en. We won't penalize you for exercising your rights, though we may need to confirm your identity first, including when a request comes through an authorized agent acting on your behalf.
Filing a Complaint
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, contact us first using the details below. You may also have the right to escalate your complaint to your local data protection authority — for EEA residents, you can find the relevant authority here.
Moving Data Across Borders
Your information may be stored or processed in a country other than the one you live in. When we move data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on approved transfer methods such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or equivalent UK mechanisms, unless the destination country is already recognized as offering adequate protection.
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. Any updates will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date, and we'll provide additional notice where the law requires it.
